This afternoon I would like to introduce you to jewellery design company Lovett & Co. Lovett and Co is the brain child of Rachel Lovett who set up the jewellery business in 2009. Her aim is to produce affordable jewellery that gives a hint of individual vintage style mixed with seasonal trends. Prices range from £10 – £50 so it’s perfect for any bride or bridesmaid. We asked Lovett and Co to tell us more about this beautiful collection.

As with previous collections, Lovett & Co.’s jewellery often references historic designers (such as Schiaparelli and Sarah Coventry); along with the elegance of vintage movie stars such as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly (particularly prominent in our classic pieces using glass pearls and crystal).

The pretty Lula collection, with delicate marcasite styling and freshwater pearls is also loved by brides. This season, Lovett & Co. have introduced some additional Lula pieces including exquisite drop earrings and a new necklace style.

Lovett & Co.’s distinctive giftcards are also popular with bridal parties for bridesmaid gifting. Each eclectic giftcard uses nostalgic typography or imagery, such as a dreamy 1920s’ rose print or an eau du nil Victorian bird print. What were the main influences when designing this collection
Designer and founder Rachel Lovett comments, ‘We love to create affordable jewellery pieces that give a hint of individual vintage style to seasonal trends. We trawl antique markets and archives, and rework great designs from the past for an engaged, contemporary audience. The bridal collection is always one of my favourites to design, as I started Lovett & Co. in 2009 after finding it difficult to source vintage-style jewellery for my own wedding.’

Lovett & Co. aims to revive a little elegance in fashion. The beautiful pieces pay homage to designer, style and movie icons from decades past. Lovett & Co.’s eclectic and confident brand ethos appeals to those who value creative, nostalgic and distinctive design.

Where are you based and how long have you been designing for
Designing from a studio based in a historic old manor house in sunny Brighton, Lovett & Co. was founded by Rachel Lovett in 2009. She wanted to find affordable costume jewellery that referenced vintage style, but with a modern twist. As her quest wasn’t successful, she decided to design the items herself.
Having then noticed a gap in the market, Rachel knew she wanted to make the most of her degree in retail marketing, passion for business and credible 20 year fashion industry background. (Her family had also worked in the fashion industry.)
Rachel’s keen entrepreneurial spirit combined with the High Street’s millennial vintage fashion and accessories Zeitgeist, meant that Lovett & Co was soon up and running.
