Today I have another fabulous wedding from Chris Blackledge Photography who is becoming quite the regular to the blog. An Eco wedding set in the heart of the Kent countryside at Elmley Nature Reserve, a venue I have featured before on the blog. Sophie and James wanted an outdoor wedding close to nature and to be as waste free and sustainable as possible, so when they found Elmley nature reserve they knew they had found the perfect venue. They filled their day with simple decoration and lots of personal projects, from the hand made stationery to the scrabble place names. Everything has been well thought out and kept as eco friendly as possible. This is a delightful wedding, captured beautifully by Chris.
The wedding day itself was magical, from the moment we each woke up to a perfect summer’s morning, with views of the sweeping landscape, through to when we chilled with guests around the firepit after the party had ended. It’s cliché, but we wouldn’t have changed a thing.
James and Sophie were married on 10th June 2023 at Elmley Nature Reserve in Kent. ‘We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding in nature, and fell in love with the nature reserve as soon as we saw it! There was space on site for lots of our family to stay for the weekend, as well as glamping tents for our guests to stumble home after the party. We had 110 guests and it took 18 months to plan.’

I have been featuring a lot of colour on the blog recently, so I thought, in the interest of balance, I should bring you some more muted inspiration as we look at nude and neutral weddings in this weeks Boho Pins. With the rise in population of things like pampas grass, dried flowers and the more natural look at weddings, nude and neutral has become ever popular with wedding decoration, flowers, outfits and cakes. Adding in things like macramé, wood and soft chiffons can really add a beautiful boho theme to your day. Happy Friday everyone, I hope you are all well and happy? Tonight Dexter is off to cub camp, which means Nik and I have a child free weekend! We are out for a meal this evening and then tomorrow we will be doing some holiday planning and hopefully get some time to catch up on some films and maybe a bit of shopping. I’m sure some of you must be off to weddings this weekend?? How exciting that wedding season is upon us again. Today I have another fabulous wedding from Chris Blackledge Photography who is becoming quite the regular to the blog, which isn’t bad thing as his work is gorgeous. Charlotte and Jamie held a super cool wedding in one of my favourite wedding venues, Wilton’s Music Hall in London. Their day was cool, stylish and full of fun.

Charlotte and Jamie were married on 28th May 2023 at Wilton’s Music Hall in London. ‘We knew we wanted somewhere unique and focused on London venues as nowhere else really had any significance for us as a couple (or had the style of venue we wanted). We looked a 3 other options but both of us felt Wilton’s was above and beyond what we’d imagined. And how many people can say they got married at a venue where The Muppets: Most Wanted was filmed? We had 90 day guests, 120 evening guests an it took 18 months to plan’
