Personal Post – Happy 4 Year Anniversary

There will be no Best Bits today I’m afraid, instead a personal post to celebrate my 4th year of marriage.

I haven’t written a personal post for a while now; this year so far has been pretty much about keeping my head down, getting on with my work, while trying my best to find a happy work/life balance.
So today I just wanted to write a little post for my amazing husband, Nik, to say congratulations on our 4th year of marriage and thank him for always being my rock, the one who keeps my feet on the grown and keeps me sane.

I wrote a lot about marriage last year, in my 3 year anniversary post, and to be honest my thoughts haven’t really changed much. There is so much emphasis on the wedding day when you are engaged that I think sometimes people forget about the marriage at the end of it all. Believe me though; it’s after the wedding that you really need to be putting the hard work in.

Being married is amazing; to me it completed our relationship and has been everything I ever dreamed it would be. That’s not to say it hasn’t always been easy. Like most couples Nik and I have been through our fair share of ups and downs, but whatever happens we have always come out of it at the other end and come out stronger as a couple.

Deciding to start the Boho was not an easy decision to make and one that definitely put a strain on our relationship, but Nik was patient and eventually I was able to show him that it was something that could be financially viable and now 4 years on I am running a healthy, profitable business and I have him to thank for having faith in me and for giving me the opportunity to follow my dream.
Over the past few years our baby journey hasn’t been an easy one, and that has also given us our fair share of ups and downs. However we are staying strong and I truly feel it has brought us closer together. It hasn’t been easy at all, but Nik has been wonderfully supportive and fingers crossed we get some good news soon.

Through everything our 4 years of marriage has thrown at us, Nik has backed me and been there for me. He is the one person who will tell me like it is, but the one person who will always be there for me. He tells me I look beautiful when I feel ugly, he tells me he loves my curves when I feel fat. He puts up with my stupid working hours, cooks my tea every night, runs my errands, puts up with my mood swings and constant self-doubt and is the one person who will make me laugh whatever.

Nik is funny, handsome, intelligent, charming, honest and the best husband I could ever ask for. It took me a while to find him, but he was worth the wait!
Every day I’m thankful that I met Nik, I’m thankful we have made it through the hard times, and pray that we have a long and happy life ahead of us. I love him with all my heart, I love him more than I could ever imagine loving anyone. I’d lay down my life for him and hope that one day soon I will be able to give him the child he longs for.

So today I’m celebrating love, I’m celebrating the wonderful 4 years we have had together and telling my Niki that I couldn’t live without him.
