365 Happiness Project: Day 104

  • Today is a happy day as I have spent the afternoon in the hairdressers. I have never hidden the fact that my hair isn’t naturally curly, I think it’s kinda funny that it is actually permed! and maybe kinda cool in a retro 80s way?? (OK maybe not!) I  had my first perm a month before my wedding, stupid some people would say but when I get an idea in my head there is no stopping me! Anyway all went well 3 years ago and I loved my perm, since then I have never looked back, and I go back every spring for my yearly dose of curls! However I wouldn’t go anywhere, there is only one hairdresser in Sheffield that I trust to perm my mop and that is Claire the owner of the best hair salon (and award-winning at that) the amazing Wigs and Warpaint

  • So I took this afternoon off to turn my frizzy mop into perfect curls again. I have to admit having a perm isn’t the nicest hair treatments you can have, it takes ages, the perming solution stinks, there is a lot of aching neck and a lot of dripping solution down your face and neck….but the results are worth it and it makes my naturally, fine wavy hair, bigger, bouncer and much easier to manage!

Big thanks to Claire, you’re a bloody star!
