Bit and Luke’s Stylish New Mexico Wedding by Jackie Marko Photography

Today I take you to New Mexico for the gorgeous wedding of Bit and Luke who were married on 31st August at Nature Pointe in Albuquerque. Bit (Elizabeth) and Luke’s wedding felt like stepping into a sun-warmed storybook. Bit walked in wearing a dress she made herself — delicate, perfectly tailored, and met with the most genuine, delighted reactions from her bridesmaids. Their mismatched dresses, a playful mix of colors and textures, echoed the wedding florals and the desert’s earthy palette, making every moment feel thoughtfully effortless. This is such a joyous wedding, filled with huge smiles, pretty pastels and the most wonderful of couples, all captured perfectly by Photographer Jackie Marko Photography.

Jackie the photographer tells is more about the wedding.

The day unfolded against classic southwestern backdrops: an adobe church that seemed to hold the whole town’s quiet warmth, and a reception space layered with hand-painted motifs and local character. We grabbed some quick, cheerful group shots outside the church, then wandered to a nostalgic stop that felt like a page from Bit’s past — the bright green donut bus where she’d once worked. The pop of color was pure joy against the desert tones; they shared coffee and donuts, snapped a Polaroid, and laughed like it was just another perfectly ordinary adventure.

A storm began to roll in as we arrived at the venue, so we stole a few wide, sweeping shots of the landscape and its resilient vegetation before the rain. Inside, the cake cutting was delightfully vintage — caught with warm, nostalgic flash that made the moment feel both intimate and timeless. Throughout the day, handcrafted details, easy laughter, and unexpected places wove together into a rich, heartfelt story of two people and their community.
