‘Retro Vibes’ Roller Disco Elopement Inspiration

Happy Monday to you all, and how was your weekend? Did you manage to get up to anything Christmas related? In 3 weeks it will all be over, so I am now throwing myself fully into the Christmas celebrations. This weekend we went to look at some Christmas lights, we visited a Christmas market, went to the Christmas tree farm, wrote our Christmas cards and bought lots of presents on-line. I feel much more organised now, there are still a few jobs to get done but I think I am on track. I am starting the week with this rather delicious styled shoot, full of retro vibes, disco balls and lots of sequins! The shoot, which took place on 4th August in Lenoir, North Carolina was put together by Milk and Honey Collective and captured by Fur and Lace Photography. I really do adore this shoot, it’s super stylish, while keeping a fun, fresh feel to it. The outfits, the sequins, those disco balls, and the balloons, I just love it all! It has a real party vibe, just what we need to start the week.

Kelly from Milk and Honey tell us more about the shoot

Elopements are all the rage right now, and perfect for the pair who wants to tie the knot on their own terms. We designed this roller disco elopement inspiration for the bride and groom that want to skip the traditions and go straight for the party (oh, and they’re obsessed with retro vibes).
First, we dressed up a super cool vacant building with all sorts of vintage furniture, an abstract silver balloon installation, and floral arrangements built around giant mirrored disco balls.
We dressed our bride in a series of retro-inspired looks that are equal parts fun and chic, and accessorized with a series of handcrafted wearable floral designs. And our groom was dressed in head-to-toe vintage!
We topped it off with the ultimate party snacks – pizza, giant doughnuts, hard cider, and blue velvet disco ball cake pops.
To the brides out there who want to break all the rules and have the most fun wedding day ever, here’s your permission to get super creative (and we’re totally here for it!)

GET THE LOOK: VINTAGE LOUNGE AREA – Gold velvet sofa, mid-century modern director’s chairs, matte black drum end tables, sea grass rug, and a marble-topped mid-mod coffee table with floating floral centerpiece.
