Todays wedding is something a little bit different, a simple yet charming and totally beautiful wedding. There are no details, no decoration, no fuss, but what there is, is plenty of love, a gorgeous couple and some beautifully shot images from Henry Lowther Photography. As wedding photographers themselves Jenni and Alex decided they wanted something different for their own wedding day, so they decided on Prague as their ideal location. They then filled the day with a sight-seeing tour of the city and took in all of their favourite locations. A wonderful way to see the amazing landmarks in Prague while celebrating their marriage.
Jenni and Alex were married on 31st October 2015 at Prague Stone Bell Tower and Aquarius Restaurant. ‘We love the city and as wedding photographers we wanted a different experience to what we usually see in the UK. We had a total of 30 guests and the wedding took about 3-6 months to plan.’
How they met
As of now about 9 years, and we met at a nightclub when Alex was Dj’ing
The Proposal
Weekly from about 3 months into the relationship even though I’d said yes many times.
How did you allocate your budget
Mostly food and travel, then photographer and dress/suit
Where did you splurge and where did you save
We didn’t really, we just spent on what we needed and paid good money for quality products and services
How did you choose your photographer
He’s been a friend for a long time and we have similar outlooks on photography and life, we refer each other because and it made total sense to us.
The Dress
Someone called Sharla in Lincoln, irregular choice shoes and the scarf from Antimacassar, jewellery etc was family heirlooms and gifts from Alex.
The Suit and Bridesmaids
Suit was off the shelf but tailored to fit, bridesmaids dresses from Oasis
Theme or Colour Scheme
Autumnal, art deco and relaxed
Flowers
Unsure, bought on the morning from Metamorphosis in Prague, I told them the colours and they made something up
Food
An eight course tasting menu, fabulous!
Wedding Cake
Made by a friend, chocolate and Victoria sponge
Entertainment
The city of Prague, sightseeing mainly with cocktails in the evening
The Stationery
The Bridesmaids made them
Special Moments
Playing with the fuji instax cameras and tourists queueing to take photos of the bride
