Well look here, it’s Sunday already. And not just any Sunday – Happy Father’s Day to all the lovely Daddy’s out there, in particular my wonderful Dad down in Devon, who no doubt will be tucking into his edible present that I posted to him – DO NOT EAT THEM ALL AT ONCE DAD! Nobody told me just how quick time goes when you are totally engrossed in all things wedding! Even when I was planning my own (cough) all those years ago, it didn’t seem to take over my life as much as it has more recently. It’s already been a week since I officially started babysitting for Kelly, while she sits patiently waiting for baby and it’s absolutely flown by. I managed to get away last weekend to spend some time with friends, a bit of a relax before the full-on wedding fest that is now my existence. We stayed, what seems like, a million miles away from anyone, in a beautiful cottage in Wales. We ate…a lot, we drank…a fair bit and I even played cricket, which for anyone who knows me, will class as some kind of summer miracle. With so much going on each week, I have suddenly realised how precious weekends are and so am stuffing them full and relishing every moment. Yesterday was BBQ day, even though the clouds were threatening. It’s so much more fun when there’s the added pressure of impending rain to accompany your burger, right?
So whilst you enjoy the last day of the weekend and run around after your Dad, or take time to remember him if you can’t be together, take a little time as well to enjoy this week’s Best Bits. My first weekly round-up of the best the wedding world has to offer! Enjoy!
What a stunning couple. The groom looks rather dashing in his tweed three-piece (and from the high street too, who knew?) and I’m in awe of Lea who manages to look completely effortless and so relaxed. I particularly like the coloured ribbons that their family and friends used to tie around their joined hands – a symbol of love and a reminder of their special day for years to come.
