As you know here at Boho we think that photography is REALLY important, a unique and pesonal wedding is all well and good but if you don’t have the memories of the day captured with some wonderful photos then the day can be lost forever. I feel that an important part of my role as a wedding blogger is to introduce you to lots of different photographers, all with different styles but all of a high-caliber and today I have a wonderful photographer to introduce you to. Gianni Di Natale is a reportage photographer from Italy. I featured one of Gianni’s beautiful wedidngs a few weeks ago and was blown away by his images. He captures the true, beauty and emotions of weddings and is amazing at using natural light. Some of his images remind me of paintings in a gallery. They are truly stunning!
‘I’m a destination wedding and portrait photographer based in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast. I have a passionate love of Nature; sunshine, blue skies, soaring mountains and sparkling seas.
I adore the vibrant, chaotic summer nights; the crisp, warm-toned autumn days; the fresh, bright shades of Spring and the brisk, cold, tranquility of winter.
I find close contact with nature to be like a spiritiual gym…whether walking in the mountains, listening to the sound of footsteps trampling leaves or diving into crystalline seas, being in touch with nature is a means of exercising and improving our more positive, constructive and creative energies.
And I am, perhaps most importantly, a father. I live for the time I spend with my family – my two boys – and I like to think that they are lucky to be growing up here in Ravello, with such a huge amount of freedom for movement, growth and experimentation.
An important part of my contribution to my sons’ growth is actively encouraging that primordial instinct that we have as children to discover and explore…that element which makes us love muddy hands, salty and sandy skin and sun-reddened cheeks. I love giving my boys the safety, peace and quiet that allows them to run and play in the streets and in the squares, to explore the many narrow alleys and paths and to discover the secrets that make Ravello a magical place in which to grow up! ‘

What Advice would you give to a couple choosing their wedding photographer?
Finding the right photographer for your needs means finding a person who is in tune with your taste, wishes and budget, and who is best able to capture the subject or object you want to photograph. Finding a photographer for your wedding in Italy is an even more difficult and delicate task. Finding a wedding photographer who suits you and your needs, is not just about finding a person who is able to create beautiful photographs, but finding a person who skillfully combines technical ability, communication skills and, most importantly, interpersonal skills.
Whether for an Italian wedding or a destination wedding in Italy, be it for a Catholic ceremony, a civil ceremony or a symbolic ceremony and whether for a wedding in Ravello, Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento,Tuscany,Puglia or in the most remote town or village in Italy, a wedding photographer must be able to put the bride, groom and all the guests at their ease. They must be an integral part of this fantastic day and, somehow, even become a temporary member of the families present. When it comes to the technical and stylistic reasons for choosing a photographer, it’s vital that photographers are able to show a consistency and quantity of work that inspires confidence, whether this is via their website or simply by showing their photographs. It’s very important that brides and grooms have the opportunity to view as much of a photographer’s work as possible, and preferably entire pieces of work rather than just individual images taken from different weddings.
Considering these points, I’d like to invite you to view some of the weddings I have photographed around Italy and abroad, in my portfolio section.
