Welcome to the weekend everyone! I hope the dreadful weather has cleared up fro you now and that you are enjoying the sunshine that we’ve got in Sheffield. Today for our Boho Pins feature we are taking a look at gift and card boxes and places to put them at a wedding! It’s so helpful to have a designated area of guests to relieve themselves of their gifts as soon as they arrive, they will need hands for champagne and confetti after all! Here’s our favourite picks from Pinterest!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have all had a good weekend and that you are now ready for the weekend. Have you got much planned? rest relaxation? something exciting? Whatever it is I hope you have a really good one. We are finishing off the week with this super fun wedding, that takes place over a whole weekend. It involves the guests camping, an outdoor ceremony, a tug of war and a rather splendid sack race! A fun-filled wedding from beginning to end with quite a bit of alcohol mixed in to keep the party a lively one. Photo by Andy Li Photography.
Louise and Andy were married in a legal ceremony on the 29th July 2016 at Wellington registry office followed by a home cooked meal at Henley Farm House, and they then had a second ceremony for a larger number of guests the following day in the House gardens. ‘I always wanted a festival wedding where by we could have as many of our friends and family all staying in the same place for a weekend but without it being too costly for quests which meant that hotels were out of the question. We needed somewhere with indoor accommodation for older family members and those with young families. Henley Farm house fitted all the criteria with 10 bedrooms for the wedding party, with two lounges, two kitchens and a larger dining area to support feeding the whole family for the weekend. It had a large rear garden safe for families and room to play with a large adjacent field for people to park and pitch up their tents. We had about 25 guests to the legal ceremony and then about 120 to the Saturday celebration. We booked the venue about a year in advance and the then just pulled everything together in that year – it was really fun to plan and buy things across the year.’

Today we are heading across to Sweden for this wonderful wedding courtesy of Photographer Loke Roos, Loke is a regular to the blog and I have featured his work many times before, I just love the way he captures the day so effortlessly and with so much style. This time it’s the turn of Pia and Jonas who were married on the 12th August 2016 at the brides family home in Sweden. Their wedding is totally them, Pia’s gown shows off her beautiful tattoos to perfection and the dress code of all black is perfect for their love of rock music. A stunning, laid back day that I’m sure you will love.

As we reach the mid point of the week I am taking you away from this horrible windy and rainy weather, back to last summer when the sun shone and the sky was blue! Stephanie and James held their Elegant Bohemian wedding in a gorgeous venue in Solihull that allowed them to have the outdoor ceremony that they wanted. They mixed in gorgeous blooms and foliage for a Bohemian touch, along with pink flamingos and gold pineapples for a fun edge! I just love the bridesmaids outfits long with Stephanie’s Charlie Brear gown and James in his flowered converse. A fun-filled wedding brought to us courtesy of Silverstar Photographic.
Stephanie and James were married on Friday 12th August 2016 at The Limes Country Lodge, Earlswood, Solihull. ‘We didn’t have any fixed ideas about our wedding day so we researched a wide range of venues, from rural barns (that were out of budget) to quirky, inner city spaces (that we couldn’t agree on). We wanted a venue close to home that wouldn’t prove inconvenient for our guests and, because we had no intention of having a religious ceremony, we hoped to spend the day and the evening in one place. My sister-in-law recommended The Limes Country Lodge and we knew straight away that it would allow us to create the personal, intimate and relaxed wedding day we wanted. We were especially excited by the outdoor space, which meant that (weather permitting!) we could get married outside and have a barbeque afterwards. We took a huge gamble on the weather and it paid off because we had glorious sunshine all day. We had 90 guests in the daytime and another 45 guests in the evening. It took us just over a year to plan the wedding. We got engaged in March 2015 and were married in August 2016.’
