Honeymoon Ideas – 7 Inventive Ideas for Honeymoons on a Budget

boho loves

This afternoon we are back with our monthly honeymoon feature from our resident Honeymoon expert Tom. Tom has given us lots of interesting honeymoon related advice over the last few months and today he is back talking us though a few budget friendly honeymoon ideas.

I’ll pass you over to Tom……

Having a smaller budget for your honeymoon doesn’t mean you have to settle for something less spectacular; when it comes to organising a honeymoon on a budget, the key is to be organised, flexible, and creative. Here are 7 inventive ideas for planning your dream budget honeymoon.

Sleep Cheap

One of the core costs of any holiday is the accommodation; a five star luxury hotel and the add-on of the ‘honeymoon suite’ will set you back a large chunk of your travel budget. So now is the time to weigh up what matters most to you and your partner. A four poster bed and a luxury setting to lay your head? Or the actual travel experience and the destination itself? Book a cheap B&B or choose a glamping option and you’ll have plenty of cash for wining, dining and other expensive activities.

Travel Off Season

Off season travel is one of life’s best kept secrets. Experience your destination without the crowds and without the inflated prices. For instance, an off season safari trip to Botswana (November to April) can be almost half the price if you don’t mind the odd rain shower, or winter in Venice can be surprisingly romantic as the island fills with mist and fog.

Sarah and Christopher’s Pretty and Eclectic London Wedding By Lisa Devlin

Well hello Tuesday and how are you? I hope it’s a good week so far for you? Today I am going to a meeting with my designers to talk about the new blog design. So far all is going well, and I will be able to give you a  progress report after todays meeting, I am more than excited! Today’ real wedding is a real stunner and it comes from one of my favourite wedding photographers Lisa from Devlin Photos. It’s a beautiful London wedding that takes place in Burgh House. A stunning mix of pretty and eclectic details to give it a vintage feel mixed with a touch of elegance, and such a  gorgeous couple. A delightful day from start to finish.

‘Our big day was filled with so many smiles and laughter. Everything came together including the weather’

Sarah and Christopher were married on 9th May 2015 at Burgh House, Hampstead in London. ‘I researched just about every wedding venue in the South East! In the end we both loved the elegant but relaxed feel of Burgh House. We had 80 guests including 8 children many of who were just toddlers. We wanted the wedding to have a real family feel to it. We were only engaged for nine months so most of that time was spent planning. We picked out the venue in about November. Then we drew up our big wedding to do list on 1st January when I panicked that the wedding was only five months away!’

Boho’s Best Bits: W/C 15th June

Boho's Best Bits

It’s Sunday finally!  We are changing things up a little today on the blog and I (Kelly C) am bringing you today’s best bits!  Kelly H has been busy with Dexter’s birthday this weekend so she is letting me show you a selection of my best bits from the wedding world.

I was at a wedding yesterday and it was really lovely.  The sun didn’t make much of an appearance but that didn’t matter as Paul and I had such a great time.  We are supposed to be going on a picnic today to a local beauty spot but looking out of the window I don’t think that is going to happen.  Looks like a carpet picnic in the house but it will still be lots of fun.  Paul and I are getting a little excited too as we are heading to Glastonbury on Thursday!  I intend to drink plenty of the beautiful Somerset cider, eat a lot of food and dance my heart out.  Are any of our readers out there heading to Glastonbury?  I would love to hear from you!  Oh and it’s Father’s Day so, happy Father’s Day to any dads out there!  I hope you have an amazing day!

Back to today.  Here are a selection of my best bits….

Best Wedding

My choice of best wedding comes from Green Wedding Shoes.  I am a huge fan of warehouse weddings.  A warehouse can be a huge blank canvas that you can decorate for your wedding however you like.  This Spanish Warehouse Wedding is beautiful.  The details are amazing and the couple are so in love.  I love every single part of this wedding.  Found Via Green Wedding Shoes Photo by Gore Vazquez
