Happy Monday everyone, I hope you are all well and happy and ready for another fabulous week ahead of us? How was your weekend? Mine was good, it included a trip the theatre to see the Wizard of Oz, which was spectacular! Then an evening with Nik’s brother and his family, good food, drinks and games, a fun night was had! Then Sunday was nice and chilled, Roast dinner with Nik’s mum and a relaxed day. I am now ready for the week ahead. So on with the first wedding of the week and it’s the turn of Lauren and Max who were married on 15th September at The Maple Estate in Schoharie, New York. They had a fun filled day, celebrating their love with an outdoor ceremony and then a modern rustic reception. Their pet dog was present for the whole thing and they filled their day with personal touches and a whole lot of love. Big thanks to Rock and Love Weddings for the gorgeous photos.
This Upstate New York wedding was a perfect reflection of the couple’s fun-loving and unique love story, celebrating their journey from an accidental email to a joyful and hilarious wedding day.

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have had a good week? Now we are finally out of January I feel we can get on with the year! Spring is just around the corner (hopefully) and there is lots to look forward to. Dexter and I are off to the theatre on Saturday to see the Wizard of Oz with ‘The Vivienne’ It looks amazing! Then we are off to my Brother in Laws for dinner in the evening. What about you? But for now it’s still Friday so I have one more delightful wedding to share with you, the absolutely stunning wedding of Neyamah and Calvin. Their wedding venue is absolutely breath-taking, a ruined Abbey that got destroyed in a fire. The perfect backdrop for this incredibly dramatic wedding. The colours of rich red and gold work perfectly against the old walls of the Abbey and the decoration pops perfectly. Big thanks to Maha Studios for these incredible photos.
The wedding day reflected our diverse love story. Every detail was carefully curated to honour our journey. The venue, an old burnt down church, served as a poignant reminder of the strength of our love, capable of breathing new life into old structures and creating something extraordinary. It symbolized our shared passion for restoration, growth, and the ability to find beauty in the imperfect.
Neyamah and Calvin were married on 4th March 2023 at The Monroe Abbey in Phoenix, Arizona. ‘Calvin is an Architect and learned of the old church through work–the space wasn’t publicly open for events, but when looking for potential venues, we were fortunate enough to know who to talk to in order to get in. When touring the space, we both knew that it was it–it was located downtown where we had our first date and close to home, but the resilient history of the old structure (it had caught fire in 1984 and was supposed to be demolished) and the beautiful courtyard yard space that remained had a romantically unique character that would be the perfect backdrop to celebrate our own love story. We had 200 guests, we started the preliminary plans about a year in advance, but really dove into it about 5 months before the wedding.’

Today I am delighted to share with the you the gorgeous autumn wedding of Jenni and Jake. Their wedding was originally supposed to be outdoors. Indie Hollow, their wedding venue, is right on a lake with a beautiful view. Unfortunately that day they had 50 mph wind and rain in the forecast. The decision was made to move the ceremony under the tent a few hours before the ceremony. While that wasn’t the original vision, it certainly still ended up working out! The results are this bright and light jewel toned wedding, with the sweetest first look. Big thanks to Kate Legters for capturing it for us.
Our wedding day was relaxed and full of love and personal touches that reflect the couple Jake and I are. The number one thing both of us heard that day was ‘we’ve never seen 2 people more in love.
Jenni and Jake were married on 5th November 2022 at Indie Hollow, Loveland, Ohio. ‘We really wanted the flexibility to supply our own selection of alcohol (not stuck to pre-developed venue packages) and have a pig roast. Unfortunately, almost all venues we looked at required us to use their vendors. Indie Hollow’s flexibility, and outdoor scene made it easy to select. We had 100 guests and it took 11 months to plan, we were engaged in December of 2021, and married November of 2022.’

Now is it me, or are things beginning to feel a bit ‘spring like’ maybe it’s because it’s the last day of January (at last!!!) or maybe because the sun has been shinning lately, but for me January is done, so spring is just around the corner, and I am here for it!! So to get us in the mood for some spring time inspiration I have chosen this gorgeous spring time styled shoot to share with you. The shoot took place in February 2022 at Barn at Paradise Place in Texas, it was captured by Haley Katherine Photography
and put together by A Time to Shine Floral Design. ‘Colours of yellow, orange, light blue, pinks and purples that pop, Cloches and a window frame backdrop to showcase Love, Spring Florals and colours!!’ I just love how this shoot brings together so many beautiful flowers and really makes them pop against the white washed walls. A modern take on a garden wedding theme perfect for a spring wedding.
