PapaKåta Spring/Summer Open Weekend 2018: ‘A Romantic Meadow’

For the PapaKåta Spring Open Weekend on the 17th & 18th March 2018, we’ll be showcasing our beautiful Teepees and Sperry Tents in the idyllic surroundings of Escrick Park.

Working in association with Wedding and Event Planner Natalie Hewitt, our Spring Open Weekend will look to the season ahead. Taking current trend and colour predictions into consideration and showcasing our Teepees and Sperry Tents with contemporary tablescapes and up-to-date florals. All whilst keeping the look coherent and classic.

Here’s a sneak peek from Wedding Planner extraordinaire Natalie Hewitt of what you can expect from the upcoming Open Weekend and this season’s Weddings and Events…

When it came to the design concept for the PapaKåta Spring Open Weekend, Summer morning sun was at the forefront of our minds. Creating a light, bright and airy feel is key to styling a Spring/Summer wedding in a Sperry Tent or Teepee and our design inspiration oozes style, luxury and sophistication.

We wanted to create a look that still reflected a Summer wedding but moved away from the pale or bright colours typically used in the warmer months. With Pantone naming UltraViolet as their colour of the year, we wanted to incorporate a subtle hint of violet, to keep the styling on trend. Raising the Teepee canvas and the Sperry Tent’s clear side walls will expose the outdoors, allowing us to create a natural, organic and earthy feel. Mixing a spectrum of purples, earthy pinks, browns and greys all offset against the backdrop of the Sperry’s crisp clean oyster-coloured canvas and the warm tones of the Teepee canopy, will create a depth and texture to the styling, whilst keeping the whole look light and bright.

Think “Romantic Meadow”; bringing the outside in! With floral installations creating the most incredible alternative world within PapaKåta’s stunning tents. Key styling elements used in the colour palette are going to create some incredible pops of colour and some great focal points whilst making the most of PapaKåta’s beautiful portfolio of Finishing Touches.

Our aim is to showcase a modern and stylish set-up, giving you some ideas to be inspired by for a truly unique and striking wedding or event.
