Haddon Hall Wedding Fair – Bakewell

HADDON HALL WEDDING FAIR, SUNDAY APRIL 2ND

Renowned for its own love story, Haddon Hall, one of the most romantic houses to have survived the middle ages, is hosting a Wedding Fair on Sunday, April 2nd, from 10.00am – 3pm.

Now available for civil ceremonies for up to 100 people, the Wedding Fair gives couples an exclusive insight in to how their big day could look, with a ceremony in either the Elizabethan Long Gallery or the Tudor panelled Parlour and a wedding toast in the Elizabethan Banqueting Pavilion in the picturesque Tudor walled gardens.

In addition to the hall itself, visitors will also be able to meet wedding photographers, dress makers and florists and pore over accessories, stationery and favours, while enjoying delicious canapes created by Haddon’s preferred caterers and sipping on Prosecco from a vintage vehicle bar.

Haddon Hall has proved not only the ideal wedding location but also the choice for many film-makers. Over the last few decades, the hall has played host to no less than three versions of ‘Jane Eyre’, became Prince Humperdinck’s Castle in cult movie The Princess Bride and was also used in ‘Elizabeth’, ‘Pride & Prejudice” and ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’, with stars such as Dame Judi Dench, Colin Firth and Keira Knightley all filming on site.
