‘Celestial Dreams and Geode Cakes’ – Winter Solstice Wedding Inspiration

It has been all about the colour so far this week on the blog. Monday we were all about Living Coral, Yesterday I shared with you the beautiful tropical themed wedding of Anelisse and Braden and today we are celebrating all things purple with this Celestial Dreams styled shoot, with the most amazing Geode Cake. The shoot took place in October this year at Meadowbrooke Bridal, in North Carolina and was sent into me by photographer Courtney Looney Photography. The cake alone stole the show for me when I first saw the images, then add in the table scape and gorgeous flowers and you have a vision of purple excellence that I’m sure you will love.

The perfect winter solstice gypsy wedding. Every gypsy girls dream wedding

Courtney the photographer tells us more about the inspiration behind the shoot

This year is my first year doing my business full time. I really wanted to create something with some amazing vendors that would portray my likes, interests and help future clients connect and get to know me on a more personal level.

I live in a very popular “hippie” town. You can find almost all my decor from the shoot in any of the cute shops downtown. I wanted to appeal to brides in my area as well as incorporate my interests as well! I’ve always been an avid gemstone collector, lover of sage and all things Stevie Nicks. I also have a strong love for astrology and believe the universe has this crazy power of bringing the right people together at the right time. Hence the galaxy dinnerware.

I wanted to create something that really embodied me and my business. I also wanted to get my first shoot published and showcase the AMAZING vendors in my city!
