Entry 28 of my Photography diary takes us to Cornwall for Easter Bank Holiday to visit my mum and step dad. Nik and I went down for 4 days (2 of which were spent traveling – never again on a bank holiday) and while we were there took my mum to a Donkey Sanctuary. I get my love of animals from my mum, having grown up in Cornwall with farm animals all around me, feeding the ducks every weekend and having a house full of cats and dogs, has had a lasting effect on me. I love going to animal sanctuaries and most of all I love donkey’s. At 7 months pregnant we went off for the day to feed the donkeys and take some photos. The sun shone and the animals were super cheeky, especially the goats chasing Nik all over the place, trying to get the food off him!
I took my 85mm lens with me, the main problem I had was how bright the sunshine was and how many shadows there were! I edited them using VSCO and made my own presets using Fuji superia 400- and adding in my own changes to make them personal to me.
