Today is a momentous day because as of today it is legal for same-sex couples to get married in the UK. So far if a gay couple have wanted to join in union together the only option was for a civil ceremony, which didn’t give them the same legal rights as an actual wedding. As of today the laws have changed meaning that not only heterosexual couples can get married but same-sex couples as well. So to celebrate I have put together a board featuring some of my favourite civil partnerships from the Blog. All over the country there are many same-sex couples getting married, which means not only will their relationship be taken to a new level of commitment but they will go down in history as being the first same-sex marriages to happen in this country.
