The Boho Wedding Directory is a hand-picked list of all awesome wedding suppliers in the business, ready to...
I love reading the bridal reports that the couples in the real weddings write, one thing I realised when reading today’s is that when asked for advice they all pretty much say the same, which stays true to the Boho ethos; ‘Create the wedding you want, not the wedding you’re told to have.’ Emma and Tom did just that, with just 32 guests to the ceremony they kept it intimate and low key, they walked to the ceremony together and had the day they wanted! What could be more perfect! Thanks to Christo Nicolle for the wonderful images, I’m sure you’ll agree they really capture the day perfectly!
Emma and Tom were married on 10th August at Selly Manor Bournville Birmingham with the reception at Ashby St Ledgers The Olde Coach House. ‘We live in Bournville so we dropped the car off and walked together to the Manor House in the sunshine. At the wedding Ceremony there was 32 guests and at the reception there was 55, it took 6 months to plan.’
How they met
We met at work in the corridors of art college. We’ve been together 8 years.
Tom proposed over a large glass of red wine in our kitchen. I was totally surprised and stunned. It was lovely.

If you are planning a big day make it big and don’t hold back! If it’s small keep it small. Do it the way you want and don’t feel you have to follow tradition…and seriously – get a great photographer like Christo. He captured elements and emotions of our day we hardly noticed and once it is all over, those photographs are the only real lasting memory.
Saying our vows we wrote at Selly Manor that we agonised to write.
It was over all too quickly and also the sun was shining!
