Boho is one years old today……….HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!

I told you yesterday that it’s my Blogs 1st Birthday today, I am absolutely delighted that one year on I’m still here and I am totally loving what I am doing! Not only is it my blogs 1st Birthday but my website is One next weekend, so really I guess that Boho Weddings and events is One today.

It’s a bit hard to pinpoint exactly when your business begins? how do you quantify it? Is it the day you first thought of the idea? the day you took your first order? the day you wrote your first invoice? the day you registered with the Inland revenue?? I always saw my first day as the day my website went live…as it was that day that I had something solid and tangible to show for my months of research. The fact that the blog came a week earlier I really don’t think matters…………so today BOHO is one years old………………HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!!

I can’t tell you how proud I am of the last year, it’s been such hard work, probably harder than I imagined it would be, but I have absolutely loved every moment of it.  I have met some lovely people so far, great suppliers, great venues and totally gorgeous couples. I am so proud of the weddings I have been honoured to be a part of this year and have a whole host of amazing and exciting weddings to work on next year, I really can’t wait! I’ve also been part of some great events and somerather different wedding exhibitions.I’ve had my first photo shoot, been on the radio and conquered my technical demands by re gigging my website, building my blog….even giving lessons and presentations on social networking! …………it’s been a pretty full on year and I feel that Boho has made a mark in the wedding industry something I am incredibly proud of!

This year has gone faster than I could ever imagine, I don’t feel that I have stopped to breath, the wedding world has got hold of me hard and fast and there is no letting go now! As well as some stunning weddings for next year, I also have some very interesting projects coming up which I am super excited about! Collaborations with venues, other planners, photo shoots, a bit of a website re gig, some new wedding planning packages and services to come as well as a secret and very exciting project! 2010 has been such an amazing year but I can see 2011 being even bigger and better!

As for the Blog I am so excited and happy with how it has grown, I never meant it to develop as much as it has but once I started it I just wanted it to be bigger and better. I’m a  all or nothing sort of person, so I never do anything by halves and I’mvery proud of how the blog has progressed over the past year. I have a loyal readership now which has grown from a few hundred t0 many thousands. I am always surprised when people say they have read something I have written, or comment on how much they like a particular blog post, its  these little comments that keep me going when I’m tapping away on my key board in the early hours of the morning.

The blog has become a total labour of love but I am always looking for ways to make it better…………………So I have put together a readers survey, to find out exactly what works and what doesn’t and then I can figure out what to scrap, what to keep and what new features to bring in. the Survey isn’t anything fancy, I’m afraid there aren’t any prizes involved, I just want to keep it plain and simple….10 questions 10 answers! ……………quick and easy for all involved, but invaluable information for me to make the Blog even bigger and even better.
