Entry 3 of my Photography Diary and this time I’m tackling nature. After my family day out last time and my attempt at photographing children, I thought this time I needed to try my hand at photographing nature.
When I decided I wanted to learn to take photos I had no idea what sort of photographer I wanted to be, I just wanted to be able to take a good photo. So far I have done product shots, people and this time nature and I’m sure there will be lots more to follow. I haven’t as yet decided if I will specialise in one area, I have a long way to go before I get to that level. I found with nature it was about the details and the composition, I also found that it’s pretty hard to make some photos that don’t have people or products in them interesting. If you ar a massive nature lover then these photos may be for you, but if not they may leave you cold.
These photos were taken at the end of August when Nik and I went down to Cornwall to visit my mum, we took a walk with Lucy the Dog and my mum around Luxulyan Valley. It’s a beautiful spot I hope I have done it justice!
In these photos I am still shooting in AV mode and I have my 50mm lens on my camera. Oh and none of them have been edited, they are straight out the camera. I will be learning about editing but not until I have figured out some more settings on the camera.
I didnt realise you have a greyhound! We have three and one of them is going to be our ring bearer at our wedding in Newquay in Autumn. Luxulyan is a beautiful spot and your pictures look great btw!
Thanks Jayne. the greyhound is my mums, she is daft as a brush! she’s a rescue greyhound.
Your wedding sounds amazing. xxx
