Today we are heading across to Kansas for a bit of sunshine courtesy of Laura Benitz who has submitted the beautiful Kansas wedding of Ashley and Justin who were married on 21st July. The wedding took place outdoors at the brides private residence in Kansas, it sits just north of town surrounded by forests and quaint little pond.
It’s a beautiful wedding with is set amongst a stunning backdrop with splashes of yellow and green. What makes it so special is the amount the couples friends and family have got involved to make the day possible, with loads of DIY details, from the catering to the decor. I love all the fairy lights and decorations hanging from the trees, as well as the bright coloured bottles on the tables.
Laura tells us more about the day…….
The bride and her family created all the decor for this amazing outdoor-rustic wedding. There were unique, personal touches at every corner from the photo booth to the games area. The ceremony was scheduled to begin as the sun was setting. The entire evening was very simple and beautiful. Guests were able to mingle with drinks before and after the ceremony. And if things couldn’t be any prettier, the brides brother brought in a little boat for the couple’s portraits, the sun was setting and the water was surrounded by native floral. It was perfection.
Ashley and Justin kept the guest list small and intimate – inviting family and very close friends. The flowers were native to Kansas & Missouri and were provided by the Flower Peddler. Ashley wore a dress she found in bridal boutique in Garden City, KS. And she wore her grandmother’s jewelry. The wedding was catered by the groom’s family.
