Today I have another DIY Tutorial for you and I’m pleased to welcome back Laura from The Mrs Makes to the Blog. As you will know Laura is a regular to the blog, both with her DIY tutorials and her Diary entries. Today Laura is going to show us how to make an Order of the day with added confetti pouch. It’s a great idea as it means your guests not only get a gorgeous order of the day but they get their own personal bag of confetti to throw.
Step 1) Design your inserts on your PC and print out. By far the hardest part of this DIY is getting your printer to print double sided, if your printer is a posh one then lucky you! I have to do sheet by sheet.
Step 2) Take your card and fold to size (mine are A5 folded in half)
Step 3) Stamp ‘Order of the Day/Order of Service’ across the top
Step 4) Take your glassine bag and decorate with tape.
Step 5) Fill the bag with confetti. I love using the paper from a hole punch, but I would actually recommend biodegradable/tissue paper if you do this, or just use eco-friendly confetti. We don’t want any creatures harmed from your pretty DIY!
Step 6) Hole punch the bag and thread some twine through the hole.
Step 7) Stick the twine to the front of the card with another piece of tape.
Step 8) Take your inserts and sew into the card with your needle and thread. Sew the spare ends with a pretty bow or leave loose tied in a knot.
Step 9) Give to your guests and enjoy being showered with confetti!

I love this idea, but where do you get the little brown circle stickers for the front of the bag?
Hi Victoria, I got the hole reinforcers from ebay but you can find them at staples, paperchase and most other good stationers. Also Hobbycraft is worth a shot! Laura x
