Welcome along to another weekend! My first at home for a month! and happy Saturday Cinema to you! I have a fabulous wedding today sent into my by one of my favourite wedding film makers, Frances from Reel Love Films. It’s the beautiful wedding of Helen and Alistair who were married on 9th June at Sulgrave Manor, then Helen’s parents back garden.
It’s a beautifully put together film and a gorgeous wedding. Frances, yet again, has done a fantastic job of capturing the emotion and happiness of the day, mixed in with a great soundtrack. Helen looks effortlessly beautiful and as for Alistair’s speech and vowes ….tear jerking! The wedding itself is full of fabulous details. I am especially loving the lights on the marquee as well as the chalk board place names/table mats, great idea! With all the dancing it looks like everyone had a fantastic time.

I asked Frances what her favourite part of the wedding was: ‘There was a great atmosphere all day long, they were both very down to earth and funny, lovely family and friends, beautiful setting and little details everywhere, just very relaxed and warm’
Why do you think a couple should hire a film maker for their wedding? ‘It’s such an important part of the memories from the day, it lasts forever, long after the cake, the flowers, the favours (which are all important too…but more fleeting) It’s something you can pass on down to your children, and their children, and it hopefully catches little bits you didn’t notice, or had forgotten, the small moments that make the big day.’
What do you think make a good wedding video? ‘For me it’s got to have feeling in it, it’s not about epic shots or fancy camera work, but about what was felt and said on the day, hopefully catching a bit of the emotion and atmosphere…it’s got to make you well up!
