Destination weddings are becoming more and more popular, and the Boho Ibiza side of my business has been especially busy, it seems the promise of good weather and a holiday thrown in for all your guests is really making people turn to other warmer countries to tie the knot
I am currently getting ready to head of to Santorini for my friends wedding (this time I get to be a guest, so I am supper excited!!) I have been searching for the perfect dress to wear and have in my mind a maxi dress would be perfect for a sunny Greek wedding. However on my search for the perfect dress I have found that a lot of these dresses are actually white…………not great as a wedding guest but it has made me think about the many low cost options there out there for brides getting married abroad.
As a bride abroad you can get away with looser more flowing dresses, you don’t need layers of fabric, or tight fitting bodices ot corsets, so looking to the high street is a great option, especially when you have to carry the dress as hand luggage (believe me I’ve been there) So after deciding that I couldn’t wear the gorgeous dress that i found as a guest because it was white I decided that it would actually make a great wedding dress…..for a cool, chilled out look.
So here are a few more of my finds to give you a bit of inspiration and to show that you don’t need to spend thousands of pounds on that dream, dress:
Monsoon are great for wedding dresses, along with M&S who both have their own wedding dress ranges. I found these 2 at Monsson, perfect to take away with you.
Now if it’s designer you want but you don’t want to pay the designer price tag, then look at the range Amanda Wakeley’s Elements range
Staying with the designer Theme, here is a designer that is very popular with the celebs…..this dress was even featured on X factor by Pia Michi
Another wedding designer that is great on price is Nicholas Millington, he has a whole collection of wonderful dresses that are great on price but still stylish.
And then to the high street, there is so much out there, especially at this time of year, you really don’t have to break the bank to find the perfect dress.
And you can’t forget ASOS, always full of great ideas and up to the minute fashion, you can choose from ASOS own range, their outlet section or the Designer department.
Last but not least another one from the high street is good old Reiss and this little sparkly number
So I hope that has given you a few ideas and shown you that you don’t have to spend a fortune on your dress, but you can still look a million dollars. There are some great options out there for you.
Watch out for Low cost wedding dresses for UK weddings comming soon.

Great ideas for a low cost wedding dress! I’m getting married abroad, partly to save money, so this makes perfect sense. Thanks for giving me a few more alternatives to the usual desingers that cost a fortune!
