‘I’m in the Sky’ – A Hippy Inspired Styled Shoot

Today I’d like to share with you this styled shoot that was sent into me by Tyler Greene all the way from San Diego! It’s very much a Boho insired shoot and is entitled ‘I’m in the Sky’ and is a celebration of Native American culture mixed with some Hippy Styling and a few DIY details thrown in for good measure. Tyler said of the shoot ‘A major goal in the creation of this project was to Repurpose, Reuse & Recycle. We did a hell of a job holding to this!’

Tyler goes onto say……….

‘I put together this shoot to not only inspire to-be brides, but also to express my preferred style of shooting. This shoot was the epitome of my kind  of wedding. I cater to the non-traditional Brides or Grooms, the people who don’t want the wedding their parents had. People are becoming more creative & DIY with their weddings and I applaud them :) Be different!’

‘My inspiration for this shoot was a collaboration of things I love and are a part of my life, From Native American culture to the soothing melodies of  Feist & Devendra Banhart. Specifically the song: Cicadas & Gulls by Feist (which is featured in the video) ” I’m in the sky”, the perfect little love song IMO. We were in the sky! We were high up in the woods of Sedona, Surrounded by beautiful peaks of red mountains and the whispering winds. Gold & Turquoise!!  I have a pretty decent collection of vintage navajo jewelry, Although some pieces were loaned out by some awesome vendor’s who were thrilled to be a part of this.’

‘I felt I got a lot out fo this shoot, it was a great chance for me to show what i can deliver to the Boho-Bride. The ability to create, plan & capture every little detail of my own vision. When I’m shooting a wedding, I get this calmness in my mind where the only thing happening in my little world is what I’m seeing through that lens. Sure we all have our own style of shooting, I’d say my comes from the heart.’
