365 Happiness Project: Day 91

• Today I am happy because I got to put on my glad rags, and go out to a posh black tie event. I have to admit I’ve not done many black ties events in my 40 years, my nights out normally consist of drinking cocktails, and then going clubbing and seeing how long I can stay out before my feet hurt too much, so when I got an invitation to be a VIP guest at Sheffield University’s annual master chef dinner, I jumped at the chance. Nik was also invited, so tonight Nik got on his Tux, tied his bow tie and we went off to enjoy a 7 course dinner at Firth Court.

• I have to say the night was thoroughly enjoyable! We got treated so well, and it was lovely to be the one being looked after, as normally at these sorts of events, I am the planner and spend all night looking after everyone else. The events team were amazing, the cocktails were lovely and the 7 course dinner was outstanding. We also got a different wine to go with each course! which just added to the night.

• I’d like to say a BIG thank you to all the staff at Firth Hall, and for the first class service we received. I really appreciate the invite!
