Karine and Alexandre’s South of France Château wedding full of Sunshine

Today I am taking you over to France for the most stunning, sun filled wedding of Karine and Alexandre. It was sent into me by one of my lovely sponsors Emilie White, and I just LOVE it! Karine and Alexandre were married last June in the South of France, in a town called Alès with the reception in Château de Rousson . Now hands up how many of us have dreamt of getting married in a French Château? well this is a wedding that dreams are made of, sooooo gorgeous….and because this is a traditional French wedding they got married twice! so not one but two amazing dresses!

Personally I just LOVE Emilie’s style of photography, she captures all the important shots but in a totally unobtrusive way, while keeping a creative and artistic approach to her work. Her images are dreamy and light, perfect for wedding photography!

Emilie has been kind enough to tell us a bit more about the day.

You will see from the photos that there was two ceremonies. The first one, is the civil one in Alès town hall. Then the religious ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding set in the country side of Alès. The wedding took place in this region as the groom is originally from there.

I’d say there was about 140 guests. A great couple, really welcoming and fun. I was 4 months pregnant that day, and they were so sweet to me, always asking if I was alright or needed anything. It was such an awesome time with them, and was really thrilled to have the chance to share their big day.

The weather was amazing, and I loved the location. The Château de Rousson  is a fantastic place, a lovely castle but not “too” big. It is located on top of a hill which offers a great view on the valley. The outdoor space had plenty of room for all of the guests, and the dinner took place under the marquee. The food looked amazing!! It has a wonderful gîte which allowed the family to stay on site all together and created a wonderful vibe for all of them.

The bride coordinated the decoration of the tables and the marquee. It was so lovely. The seating plan represented all the things that reunite them, the things they had in common. The bride had been based in Paris and him in Strasbourg so they were commuting a lot for a while to see each other.
