We are finishing off the week in style with this absolutely stunning ‘tropical paradise’ wedding. Amber and Derek were married on 15th October 2023 at Pangas beach club in Costa Rica. the whole day is one BIG burst of colour and I am totally here for it. Firstly we have Ambers beautiful wedding outfit, her top and skirt combo are an absolute delight, the bright pink skirt is just wonderful. Then we have the bright orange and peach tropical flowers, which I just adore. And then as if that wasn’t enough we have the gorgeous teal table decorations, the napkins and glass wear work beautifully next to the orange flowers. Add in this breath-taking backdrop and you really do have the most perfect wedding you could wish for! Big thanks to Adri Mendez Photography for capturing it so perfectly and for Mil Besos Costa Rica for the wonderful job planning the whole day.
Amber + Derek’s love story unfolded in the laid-back paradise of Tamarindo, Costa Rica. These two found their tropical boho chic wedding bliss at the stunning venue, Pangas Beach Club.
Their journey began a few days earlier as the couple arrived, immersing themselves in the pre-wedding calm before the whirlwind of festivities. It was the perfect opportunity for intimate moments and, in this case, coordinating the bride’s makeup and hair trials. Our team ensured everything was set for an epic adventure for this sweet blended family.
The bride, a vision of boho naturalistic beauty, wore an updo adorned with real flowers, a dainty lace top, and a vintage hot pink skirt. The groom rocked a fedora and a custom-made olive linen suit inscribed with Pura Vida and his nickname, embracing the couple’s unique personalities.
Pangas Beach Club provided unmatched views, with the ceremony beneath their famous mangrove tree offering the perfect shade overlooking where the ocean meets the lush jungle. Guests settled on natural wood benches as the bride, hand in hand with her son, walked down the sandy aisle to meet her groom.
Their weddings’ floral design took center stage, featuring a lively medley of carnations, shampoo ginger, birds of paradise, and orchids, accompanied by lush greenery like ferns, monstera leaves, and palms. The palette showcased warm tones of peach, orange, and pink, creating a visually stunning display. The altar was adorned with pots of terracotta and brown shades bursting with floral arrangements.
Vows were exchanged, and a heartwarming “ring-warming” ceremony ensued. Following the ceremony, a quick beachfront photoshoot captured the vibrancy of the union while guests enjoyed happy hour.
Our nimble team transformed the ceremony space into a reception adorned with simple elegance – neutral colors, gold accents, and pops of turquoise. The long buffet-style seating showcased a stunning dinnerscape, complete with tall tapered candles, glass votives, and fresh greenery garlands.
As the sun set, cafe lights and wicker lanterns illuminated the evening, creating a dreamy ambiance while a live band serenaded the intimate gathering.
The celebration continued post-wedding as Amber and Derek invited all guests to join them on a catamaran sunset cruise, an extra touch of magic. Each guest took home the gift of local Costa Rican coffee, a token of appreciation from the newlyweds. Here’s to a lifetime of love and adventures for Amber + Derek!
