Brooke and Dylan's Chic Black and White Warehouse Wedding by Keshia G Photography

I do love a stylish wedding and today’s wedding certainly is one of those. I was drawn to the dramatic black and white colour scheme when I first saw this wedding, the modern touches, the chic design all pull this wedding together making it as stunning as the gorgeous bride. Brooke and Dylan were married on 18th May 2024 at The Hackney Warehouse in Murphy, in North Carolina. They spent a lot of time planning their warehouse wedding to make it the perfect vison they had both dreamed of and what an amazing job they did. This super chic black and white wedding was one for the books! Their design was so classic and beautiful!

Inspiration
The inspiration behind their big day was a formal black and white themed wedding, very timeless and classy. The colours that inspired their big day were black, white, silver, and gold, and they accented everything with a pearl detail. Guests were asked to wear their best black, or silver to match the colour palette. Bridesmaid wore a black dress, and accent their accessories with pearls, and nude shoes. Groomsmen wore a black tuxedo.

Decoration
Brooke and Dylan were engaged for a year and half. This allowed Brooke lots of time to plan in detail every single second of their big day. Brooke is a teacher and the teacher in her made her very organized with a step by step list and binder of everything her big day included. When the day came everything came together perfectly and looked exactly how the bride had envisioned, and matched the binder perfectly.

Flowers
Florals were the main character all throughout the wedding. The florist was very special to the bride and groom for it was the groom’s grandmother. She completed all the bridesmaid bouquets, corsages, ceremony florals, reception florals and the brides bouquet. The flowers were white roses with baby’s breath, that made a statement in the ceremony as well in the reception hall for the captains tables and regular tables.

Outfits
For Brooke she had no idea what kind of wedding look she wanted. All she knew was that she wanted an updo hairstyle and she wanted to wear her great grandmother’s pearl bracelet. Other than that she was hoping a style and a dress would speak to her when she went dress shopping. On March 22nd, 2023 surrounded by her mother, aunt, mother in law, cousin, maid of honour, and friend she said yes to a long sleeve sheer pearled detail dress with a cathedral length veil for her wedding ceremony.

Special moments
For both the bride and groom the most anticipated day was the moment Brooke walked down the aisle. They decided not to do a first look, so the first time Dylan saw Brooke was when she walked down the aisle. Dylan cried and literally gasped when he saw her. Another special part of the wedding day was that Brooke decided not to throw her wedding bouquet to all the single ladies. Instead Brooke wrote a speech and decided to give her wedding bouquet to her mother, during their reception.

Advice for other couples
Soak in every single second of this season of life, it goes by so fast. Plan in detail everything you want for your special day. You only get this day once so you want it to be everything you have ever dreamed of. What made the bride and groom’s day special was they surrounded themselves with the people who they loved, and loved them.
