Today I am taking you to a tropical paradise for this stunning Elopement set in the heart of Costa Roca. Maggie and Joe were married on 6th May at Amor Arenal in Costa Rica. The day was planned and put together by Mil Besos Costa Rica and captured by Olivo Film. Elopements really give the couple the chance to let their love shine throughout their day, they are fully invested in each other not trying to spread them themselves across hundreds of guests, and this elopement is testament to this. Elopements also give the couple to go al out on the decoration, and this wedding is truly gorgeous.
Maggie + Joe’s boho elopement was a celebration of love, intimacy, and natural beauty as they pledged their forever together surrounded by the magical Arenal Volcano. They were wed at Amor Arenal, a venue that transports you into a complete paradise surrounded by the dense tropical rainforest, where the forest grows wild, the roots are enormous, the vines hang in surreal shapes, and the buzzing of the Costa Rican pure life will touch your soul.
Maggie, adorned with delicate white flowers embellished with pearls in her hair, and Joe, overwhelmed with emotion, exchanged heartfelt vows in this intimate elopement. The sacred moment they shared will forever be cherished, and fortunately, every tear and smile was captured on film, preserving their special memories for a lifetime.
Elopements hold a certain magic, allowing the couple to fully invest in one another on their wedding day. With no distractions, Maggie + Joe could focus solely on each other in this captivating moment, soaking in the love and joy that surrounded them.
Drawing inspiration from the couple’s love for a clean, modern boho look, we curated a wedding design that reflected their personalities and styles. The colour palette featured soft neutrals, complementing their attire in white and tan, with a small nod to Maggie’s yellow sapphire ring incorporated into design details.
The ceremony took place under a beautifully designed gazebo decorated with dried flowers and grasses, creating an elegant and sustainable atmosphere. A focal point of the ceremony was the white cloth ribbons hanging gracefully over the couple, contrasting perfectly against the lush greenery of the jungle, making it the centrepiece of the moment.
For dinner, a greenery garland was placed across the sweetheart table, accompanied by simple white florals in bud vases and warmly lit with tealight candles. A hanging installation with a trio of rattan lamps and a mix of neutral dry materials, hanging white orchids, and gladiolus flowers added texture and organic beauty. The place settings featured half-moon acrylic plates with the names of the newlyweds.
