Well hello Friday! Wow that came around quickly! what a jam packed week it’s been, how has your week been? It’s been super busy here at Boho HQ and I feel I may be spending a lot of the weekend catching up on jobs that I havn’t got finished yet this week! What about you? what have you got planned? To finish off the week I have this gorgeous autumnal wedding by Nicole Weeks Photography. Brittany and Drew were married on 22nd September 2023 at the Inn at Taughannock in Ithaca, New York. They held a gorgeous burnt orange and emerald green themed wedding, full of personal touches, succulents and of course their pet dog. A wonderful day, full of colour, great decoration and a lots of love and smiles.
Brittany and Drew are two people who were destined to be together! They both grew up in New York although many miles away from each other. It wasn’t until they moved across the country and both ended up in San Diego did they meet for the first time. Their love story began at a mutual friend’s party and evolved into the greatest love story of all time.
Most of their family and friends were still located in New York so they decided on a central location in Ithaca at The Inn At Taughannock. A stunning venue with easy access to gorgeous waterfalls that overlooked Cayuga Lake. With the help of both Brittany and Drew’s mothers, they planned their dream wedding from the opposite side the country.
Brittany’s boho chic vision came to life in the most perfect way. From her color scheme of burnt orange and emerald green, to all the little details they spend to much time planning their wedding style was unique and personalized. Custom decor throughout their reception gave the space a personalized touch. For table numbers they included photos of themselves on different trips they’ve taken together with a write up about each vacation. Their love of plants made an appearance in the form of succulents that doubled as their seating chart and favors. A bohemian flair was added to their decor with pampas grass and wicker lanterns while the rich burnt orange color made a chic statement.
Their flower arrangements were absolutely stunning and one of a kind, complete with succulents in the Bride’s bouquet to tie everything together. Drew also added his touch of personality to his suit by having their wedding date pressed into the collar of his jacket. Even though they were far away from their home, they couldn’t get married without their sweet dog Kodi. Who made an appearance showing off her custom flower collar and perfect smile for pictures.
Brittany and Drew spent their wedding in style surrounded by loved ones who traveled from all over to celebrate with them. The stunning grounds of the Inn at Taughannock offered gorgeous gardens for photos while the waterfalls gave them the backgrounds they desired to remember their day.
LOVE the colour theme of this wedding! But the absolute most precious thing is the photo of Kodi the dog, smiling and looking so proud of mum and dad.
