Happy Monday everyone and welcome to what could be the hottest day EVER here in the UK. I hope you are coping with the heat OK and that you manage to stay in the shade. If you are one of the places that reach 40degrees today then good luck, it’s looking like a max of 36 degrees here in Sheffield, so it will be lots of cold showers and ice lollies for me today! On with today’s wedding and it’s the turn of Kristin and Bryan who were married on 5th June 2021 in Manchester, Vermont at the Wilburton Inn. They had originally planned a fall wedding the year before but this was postponed due to Covid, so they turned it around and made it a spring/summer wedding instead, changing their colour scheme but keeping all their gorgeous DIY details and decoration. I love the colours used in this wedding, the outdoor ceremony and of course their gorgeous pet dog. Big thanks to Kelsey Regan for the photos.
Kristin was moving into her new townhouse for her junior year at the University of Vermont when her new neighbour, Bryan, offered to assist. The pair remained friends for a while, taking time for their relationship to develop and for Kristin to finally admit that she liked Bryan, but by mid-October, they decided to make it official! On a rainy spring morning, Bryan suggested a hike up to Mt. Philo, one of their favourite spots. While Kristin was trying to pull her dog out of a mud puddle, she turned around and saw Bryan down on one knee. It caught her off guard, but without hesitancy, she said yes!
The couple originally planned a fall wedding but had to postpone to the following summer because of COVID. They updated their original autumn colour palette with more peaches and greens for a fresh summer vibe. The pair took a lot of inspiration from their venue, Wilburton Inn, and its Victorian-era style with marble escort cards echoing the elegant marble floor. The couple DIY’d many reception details, including the pressed fern table numbers, and were married under the same birch arbor as many of their friends.
