It may be cold, wet and windy here in the UK, but today I am taking you off for some sunshine to warm you up as we dream of summer! Laura and David were married on 29th March 2019 in Dubai with 63 of their closest friends and family! The couple live in Dubai so it was only natural to have their main ceremony here after holding a small, intimate, low key celebration back in London. The day was filled with the most amazing flowers, super glam decoration which followed their ‘Gold metallic’ theme, along with so many beautiful twinkly lights for their evening reception. The whole day was full of fun and elegant decor. Laura from Babb Photos was there to capture the day for us.
Laura and David’s One and Only The Palm wedding was the second of their wedding celebrations. The first took place on a chilly Winter’s day in London and featured an intimate ceremony followed by dinner in a private dining room. The second part of Laura and David’s celebration took place in Dubai, where they live. It was a joyful celebration for their friends and family from around the world.
Nestled right on the end of The Palm Jumeirah, this One and Only resort was a beautiful backdrop for Laura and David’s celebration. Laura got ready at the hotel, while David spent the morning at home and also heading out into the city for a pre-wedding drive. The preparations were as relaxed as the rest of the day. Laura and David’s focus was a fun and joyful celebration with all of their favourite people.
Laura and David were marred in a beautiful courtyard, in front of a backdrop of white flowers. They exited the ceremony to a shower of gold confetti and then headed out to the hotel’s jetty for drinks on the water. We took some portraits in the sunset with the Dubai skyline in the background.
Dinner took place outside against a backdrop of twinkling lights and candles. After some emotional speeches, the party started with Laura and David’s first dance. There was also a traditional Chinese lion dance to bring good fortune.
The day after the wedding everyone reconvened for a trip around the Dubai coast. Again, this was a really joyful celebration which ended with everyone swimming in the sea.
