‘An Enchanting Wedding’ Pink and Dreamy Meets Black and Moody Halloween Wedding Inspiration

Well done, you have reached the halfway point of the week, how has your Halloween week been so far? It’s my last day in the office today, as I am off tomorrow and Friday, making the most of the half term break and hoping that the rain stops! It’s been relentless here in Sheffield, its causing havoc with our Halloween decorations! I do hope it stops soon. To carry on the Halloween celebrations I have another fabulous and super stylish shoot for you, full of Halloween inspiration. The shoot took place in September at Shade Rock Farms in Ottawa Lake, Michigan and was put together by Viridian Ivy Images and a team of super talented suppliers. The shoot is a mixture of dreamy and elegant detailing with dark and moody decor, resulting in an elegant and stylish wedding. I’m sure you are going to love it.

Jessica from Viridian Ivy Images tells us more about the shoot

From the fashion to the table settings, weddings are chock full of opportunities to let the couple’s personalities shine. What happens when you have a bride who is looking for a dark and enchanting aesthetic for their big day? Well, this celebration will certainly show you how all of the different details can be married together for a cohesive and beautiful look that’s unique and memorable.

Inspired by the moodiness of the fall weather, this color palette included vibrant burgundies paired with black, pink, and silver accents. Invitation suites created by Uppercase Designs showcases textured black paper paired with wax seals and vellum envelopes with delicate custom calligraphy.

Butterflies, known for both their delicate nature and deep representations revolving around change and life, were used throughout the details and showcase on each place setting. Custom velvet-like table linens featured a silver floral pattern that paired beautifully with mirrored charger plates, textured burgundy napkins, a trio of unique beverage glasses, black dinner plates and silver flatware. Personalized taper candles served as place cards for each guest as their names were displayed on them.

A lush centerpiece of farm fresh flowers created by Gardenview florals was the showpiece of the table with it’s overflowing dahlias and roses. For an extra romantic detail for the bride & groom, Event Prep finished this design with specially made his-and-her black acrylic dining chairs featuring lyrics from one of their favorite songs- Death Cab for Cutie “I Will Follow You Into the Dark.”
Playing off the dark romantic aesthetic, this wedding cake was not your traditional white tiers of confection, but instead featured black icing, lace details and a skull cake topper for a bewitching twist.
Makeup was pretty and minimal as to not compete with the dress. Hair was very detailed and intricate.

This celebration shows you that you can have your cake and eat it too when it comes to planning a wedding that fully fits your personality, even if that means pairing pink & dreamy with black & moody.
