Happy Monday everyone and how are you? How was your weekend? Was it Halloween filled or are you not a lover of the Halloween holidays? Mine has been brilliant. I took Friday off as Dexter broke up a day early from school and we have been having a lovely time. We have been out Friday, Saturday and Sunday enjoying the Halloween festivities and really getting into the Halloween spirit. He is at camp this week until Wednesday, so I am taking this Thursday and Friday off for more Halloween fun. And because it is Halloween this week, the blog is gong to be full of fab Halloween inspired wedding inspiration, a little different form the normal weddings I may share with you but full of wonderful ideas none the less! Starting off with this gorgeous industrial warehouse elopement styled shoot. The shoot took place in May of this year at Hickory in North Carolina, it was submitted by the Event Designer: Milk and Honey Collective and captured by Photographer Fur and Lace Photography. The whole shoot is very elegant but with an edge, the black dress, the stunning decoration all really work well together.
This freshly painted warehouse space in a restored North Carolina textile mill was practically asking for some edgy, artistic, industrial vibes… and we had to oblige! It was super fun to explore something we don’t usually see at weddings and elopements… dark colors, rich tones, a black wedding gown, a greenery veil, hand painted glass dinner plates, a veil made of greenery, and potted plants galore. We love to create content that’s out of the box, and this bold aesthetic totally fit the bill. Plus, you can’t go wrong with live music and sprinkle donuts!
Lol, we attended a Halloween themed wedding a few years back, all of the guests came dressed in character, except the grooms mother. She came in a little summer dress and spent the entire event tutting at people. At one point the bride asked to borrow the hammer off the test your strength machine (or as it was styled there, the hammer the stake in the vampire machine) to smash up her wedding cake, which she proceeded to do.
