Mandi and Jeremiah’s Rustic Elegant Michigan Barn Wedding by Jean Smith Photography

Today I am treating you to this gorgeous Barn Wedding. The attention to detail is outstanding, I know you are going to love it! Mandi and Jeremiah and were married in Michigan on 27th July 2019. They chose this gorgeous barn venue which gave them the rustic elegant backdrop that they were looking for. They chose a sea-glass and coral colour scheme, that you can see in the cakes and the wonderful flowers. My favourite part has to be the individual succulents displayed for their wedding favours, so cute! There are so may wonderful decoration idea in this wedding, a real feast for the eyes. Big thanks to Jean Smith Photography for the beautiful images.

How they met
My husband & I met in northern Michigan at a place called ‘Pond Hill Farm’. At the time he was working as a waiter in the tasting room there. Thankfully I had just enough wine to muster up the courage to give him my number on the way out. I’ll never forget the shocked & surprised look on his face as I slipped him my number on the way out. Jeremiah didn’t play it cool & texted me later that very night. The rest is history! Just over a year later he proposed to me at the very place we met. One year later to the day we were married in northern Michigan.

Outfits
I wanted to do something that was elegant with a touch vintage as well. I knew I wanted to do something fitted with a lot of lace & that was exactly what I found. The long train in the back was my absolute favorite part!

Theme or colour scheme
We were going for a rustic elegant theme. Our color palette was sea-glass & coral with gold accents.

Decoration
We were fortunate enough to work with our wonderful wedding coordinator, Sarah, who helped us decorate our space to match our theme. As much as I love DIY we didn’t do too much ourselves as it was a northern Michigan destination wedding.

Flowers
For our florals we pulled from our sea-glass & coral color palette. We used coral roses, muted greenery (eucalyptus & succulents) to help pull in tones of the sea-glass, and ivory hydrangeas. The florals were the perfect shabby-chic touch to our theme.

Personal Touches
Because we love photography (and camping) so much we went with Happy Snappy Photo booth who had the ‘Happy Camper’ for people to take photos in. It was the cutest thing ever!

Special moments
Defiantly walking down the aisle. Nothing can prepare you for that walk. Seeing Jeremiah standing at the alter waiting for me was just surreal.

Advice for other couples
Don’t sweat the small stuff! At the end of the day it all works out. Just enjoy it & LIVE IN THE MOMENT!
