'Aloha From Hawaii' Macrame and Greenery Beach Wedding Inspiration

Today’s super sweet styled shoot comes all the way from Honolulu in Hawaii. It features a real couple celebrating 3 years of marriage together in one of the most idyllic settings you could wish for. Chavah from Vida Chic Events was the brains behind the shoot, while Jenna Lee Pictures was there to capture the whole thing for us. They wanted to do away with flowers and bring in greenery and macrame instead and the results are stunning. This shoot is just what we need as the weather here gets colder, shedding some warm Hawaiian sunshine on this cold October day.

A Magical Forest Lovestory

Macrame and greens were the inspiration for this gorgeous styled shoot in the magical forest on the beach of Oahu’s beautiful windward coast. Resonating with the earthy environment and the magic of the forest on this gorgeous beach, this very real couple was captured for this styled shoot which encompassed Hawaii and it’s beauty.
The dress was hand sewn from reclaimed fabrics. 150 year old lace from Paris paired with 70’s quaker lace. We swore this dress had a soul. It vibed on a whole other wavelength and was pure magic. Reclamation Design Company makes work of art. Each dress as unique as the next.

Chavah Grant of Vida Chic design was the brains behind the operation. She decided to forego floral, focus on greens, the environment, and the boho spirit. The little Acai Cart came along bringing their cart, their smiles and their incredible acai! Palm Palm Parties brought their beautiful ALOHA signs! Aloha Artisans brought their amazing arch, couches, seats, pillows, tent and other amazing decor. Honolulu Henna did incredible leg and hand pieces on the bride.

Although it was a stylised shoot, it was a very real couple celebrating 3 years of marriage. As Emi sang Michael a song she had written for him and performed at their wedding, he burst into tears.
It was an incredibly beautiful morning!
