Today’s styled shoot is super pretty and bursting with pretty pastels and vibrant colours. It was sent into me by the photographer Laura Palacios and was the brain child of event planner Pink Wasabi. The shoot took place in April last year at Casa Ylang Ylang in Miami, the venue wanted a shoot that would show off their whimsical outlook and stunning location. The talented team of suppliers filled the shoot with the most amazing decor, from the colourful table scape to the beautiful blooms and amazing Romona Keveza gown. I just love this shoot, it is super pretty and super romantic but most of all I just love the use of all that delicious colour, so summery!
I was asked to create something special to showcase the whimsical feeling of the venue. This was an opportunity to play with colour in a way I had never imagined! Every detail down to the show-stopping Romona Keveza gown lent itself to the playful romantic love story backdrop of Casa Ylang Ylang!
The goal of this shoot was to step out of my comfort zone and inspire couples to do the same. Too often, weddings look the same no matter who’s wedding it is. I believe it should be a personalised experience centered around the couple. I also wanted to achieve a certain level of fun in this design without being cheesy.’
