Ashley and Josh’s ‘California Dreaming’ Elegant Outdoor Bohemian Festival Wedding by One Love Photography

Happy Friday everyone! And a big YES for the bank holiday weekend! Have you got much planned? Apart from dodging the rain, I have my Mum coming up from Cornwall for the weekend. I haven’t seen her since last October, so it will be good to catch up with her and spend some time with her and Dexter. To finish off the week in style though I have this gorgeous Bohemian wedding from sunny California. Ashley and Josh were married on 16th June 2018 at Gardener Ranch, Carmel Valley. They wanted an elegant day filled with rustic, bohemian charm and this is exactly what they got. With amazing decor, stunning little detailing and the most romantic of locations, this wedding is a dream from start to finish. I especially love the giant dream catchers and Ashley’s beautiful gown. Thanks to the wonderful One love photography for the images.

Our wedding day was like a boho music festival meets an elegant wedding celebration. The dream catchers, teepee lounge, and my dress reflected our boho vibe while the incredible venue established a classic feel.

Ashley and Josh tell us more about their day.

Creating boho vibes were important to us, so we splurged on extra details in the venue and rentals. The venue had the soft meadow look we wanted for our ceremony and beautiful trees that enclosed the reception, I just adored wearing my dress by BHLDN. Our colour scheme was a mixture of neutrals of cream and white, incorporated with dusty purples, violet grey, and sage greens. We had so many incredible details! The plate settings on the table were neutral plates with Indian-esque chargers that had gold accents. The flatware was rose gold. Each setting had a sprig of rosemary, and each person had a moscow mule water goblets. Each table had wooden tree trunk slices as the center piece.
There were wine jugs as decor on the tables. Our two lounge areas were so inviting. The teepee lounge had a purple couch with deconstructed chairs, a round metal coffee table tray with reclaimed diagonal end tables. The second lounge area was a large deep purple couch on a multi-colored rug. Both settings looked as if they came straight from Anthropologie. We also had lawn games for guests!
