Woo Hoo! It’s Friday, bring on the weekend! I don’t know about you but I am SO happy that Friday is finally here! I am so looking forward to the weekend, meeting up with friends, drinking the odd glass of wine, spending time with my boys, a Christmas fayre, PLUS a trip to the Christmas tree farm to choose our Christmas tree! I CAN’T WAIT!! Before that though, I am delighted to share with you this intimate Colorado Mountain Wedding. Erin and Bill were married on 1st September 2018 at The Wolf Den in Colorado. The adventurous couple wanted a wedding that reflected their personality without too much fuss and frill. They chose an intimate location with their closest friends and family, amazing views, rustic touches and lots of love and laughter, all captured beautifully by Simply Love Photography + Design.
Erin and Bill have built their relationship around adventure. Based in Iowa these two have spent their entire relationship road tripping to new adventurous places, exploring and hiking through the Grand Canyon where Bill finally got down on one knee. It came as no surprise that these two decided to plan an intimate wedding nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
With their Uhaul full of decor and family in tow, they headed from Iowa to Colorado to say I do at the beautiful Wolf Den. Some of the most romantic touches to their day were the sweetheart table they sat at during their reception that Bill handmade and the wildflowers that were spread throughout the reception that Erin collected from around the home.
During their first look they exchanged personalized gifts, Erin gave Bill a compass with the words “I belong with you, you belong with me, you’re my sweetheart” and Bill gave Erin a necklace with the exact coordinates of the arch they stood under as they said I do.
Coincidentally later that evening, Bill surprised Erin with their first dance “Ho, Hey” by the Lumineers. A good friend of theirs played guitar and sang..and as he forgot the words everyone in attendance joined in to sing together.
Their day was intimate, perfect and truly one of a kind!
