Elizabeth and Jon’s Gold and Greenery Super Glam Wedding by Shelly Pate Photography

Happy Valentines day everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic Valentines day so far? Have you been spoilt rotten by your other half? I do hope so! Have you got anything planned for this day of love? I am taking the night off tonight, stepping away from the computer and spending the evening with my lovely Husband Nik. He is cooking my favourite dinner, so I’ll be opening up a bottle of fizz and enjoying some quality time together. As it’s Valentines I have chosen a super romantic wedding for you today. Elizabeth and Jon were married on 9th September 2017 at Oxon Hill Manor, in Maryland and it’s a day filled with super glam touches and so much amazing decoration ideas. They chose a beautifully romantic outdoor ceremony and then took the party inside where their wedding breakfast was decorated in glamorous gold accents, the most beautiful blooms and so many gorgeous styling ideas! Check out the library table plan! Every guest got a book as an escort card! As for that cake table, Oh my! And the gold detailing on each table is just stunning! Enjoy everyone and have a great Valentines day. Big thanks to Shelly Pate Photography for the fab images.

Garden Wedding at Maryland Historic Manor

The two planned a trip to Ireland and it was there that Jon got down on one knee to ask Elizabeth to spend the rest of her life with him.
Romantic and unique are two words that quickly come to mind when I think about Elizabeth and Jon’s fall wedding at Oxon Hill Manor right outside DC. It was gold, greenery, and lace. Elizabeth’s handmade details were reflected in every aspect of the day. The two welcomed their guests with a special greeter (Winston the horse!), live classical music, champagne. Elizabeth even put together a scarf basic for the ladies!

Love and Adventure are part of Elizabeth and Jon.  Outside in the gardens of the manor, the two had their best friends and family walk down the aisle with a book. A single long stem rose marked a special passage that the two selected for their wedding party to read allowed during the ceremony. Their family stood beside them with the wedding party as they said their vows . Elizabeth’s brother officiated the wedding and family members that had passed were represented with gold framed photographs around the ceremony site.
The bride and groom had a special book for each guest. Inside was a handwritten note including their dinner seat and meal choice. Greenery and gold decorated the outdoor tent for the reception. Tables were numbered in gold on books with floral and candle lit centerpieces. The two had beautiful signature drinks named after their grandparents with “date” flags to decorate. Cakes were a special treat as Jon and Elizabeth had so many choices! There was even a poor-over coffee station.
