This afternoon I have a real treat for you, as I take you off to...
Today’s Wedding in Ibiza is a real stunner! And is a full on glam-fest of a wedding. The location of the wedding is a venue that I have personally visited myself and can say hand on heart is a totally gorgeous location. Set inland, to the north of the island in the heart of the Ibiza countryside Can Gall boasts greenery, palm trees and an idyllic location for any Ibiza wedding. Ruby and Joseph both love Ibiza, so it seemed only fitting that they get married there and the results are breathtaking. They really went to town with the decoration, as their florist worked wonders with the amazing flowers, producing a stunning flower arch for the outdoor ceremony, as well as an amazing flower wall for the photos. With a laid back, yet super stylish outdoor reception this wedding really is one to remember. Thanks to Marnosuite for the photos.
Ruby and Joseph were married on the 9th July 2016 at Can Gall in Ibiza. ‘We have taken many family holidays to Ibiza & are in love with the Island. We had never visited Can Gall before, but when we did we instantly fell in love! The beautiful flowers, friendly & welcoming Santi & the privacy of the venue. We had 60 guests and the wedding took 12 months to plan.’
How they met
We met through friends at the tender age of 19 & 21, we have been together 9 years.
We had recently purchased our forever home in our home town of Cardiff, I thought I was meeting the estate agent at the house to finalise the sale. When I walked in, the floor was covered with rose petals leading to the living room… Joe was down on one knee ring box in hand with our eldest daughter stood beside him.
How did you allocate your budget?
Our biggest expenditure was food & drink, closely followed by my dress. Kerry (our wedding planner) managed our budget fantastically.
Why did you choose your photographer?
Our wedding planner spoke highly of Maria Simon so we arranged a meeting. We instantly liked Marias soft nature & her beautifully natural captured photos.
Theme or Colour Scheme
We had a Neutral colour scheme
We had roses & hydrangeas
Our decor was extensive. We built ivy walls, a bamboo structure with hanging chandeliers wrapped in vines covering the dining area. Our table settings were neutral & blush.
A naked 3 tier wedding cake
Lovely Laura during pre-drinks. In your dreams & a DJ in the evening.
Who supplied the stationery?
Our favours were personalised wine glass charms, which doubled up as name places.
Special Moments or Highlights
I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite moment, the whole day was a dream!
Advice for other couples
Enjoy every moment, relax & try to take everything in. It happens so fast. I would highly recommend making the ‘wedding’ last a few days.
Marnosuite was created by me, Maria Simon, in 2011. Born in berlin and working all over the world I found my happy place where i am trying to be most time of the year: The magic island in the Mediterranean sea, Ibiza.
After working in the fashion industry I felt drawn to create a work which is more personal, warm and the true essence of photography. I believe in love , romance and magic and wedding photography is a true work of the heart for me .
With my long term experience as a fashion and portrait photographer I offer you a picture perfect result, with an editorial feel and lots of sparkle. My visual language is contemporary, with a fashion approach, warm ,dreamy and feminine. Lately I divide my time between Ibiza and Italy.
