Bridal Style: The New Mirtilli Collection by Jesus Peiro

Good afternoon and welcome to Friday! To send you into the weekend we have some gorgeous bridal dressed to share from the Jesus Peiro new collection for 2017. Ever the ‘classic’ gown, this selection has a range of silhouettes to suit everyone, and with their expert tailoring you just know that they are going to look fabulous. I especially love the metallic detailing, the pockets (!) and low draped backs.

Appealing to a romantic bride, the bright and feminine collection presents a wide range of silhouettes from opulent voluminous skirts to more streamlined and form fitting gowns, all designed with Jesus Peiro’s signature classic tailoring and impeccable fit ensuring each of the gowns in the collection is of the highest quality, utterly flattering and incredibly beautiful.

More about the collection

For 2017 the collection includes a range of separate pieces, including delicate cropped tops designed to be worn over dresses, that can be easily removed later on in the day to create a contrasting look. Other designs incorporate a more subtle play on the separates trend with patchwork weaves of mesh and Chantilly lace creating a t-shirt effect that can be worn underneath a dress – just seen at the neckline.

Colour and detailing are prevalent within the collection with sequin and beaded embellishment used against soft pinks, smoky greys and taupes set against warm shades of white. The finest Chantilly lace, soft linen gauze, cotton tulle and openwork lace are used throughout the collection whilst large floral motifs and guipures create interest and movement, providing a contrast against more traditional fabrics such as ottoman, organza and brocade.

Inspired by the world of decadence and delectable treats, Jesus Peiro’s Creative Director Merche Segarra looked to the sweeter things in life whilst designing the new Mirtilli collection. From the windows of cake shops in Milan and delicious Petit Choux’s in Paris, to colourful Macaron boxes and ice cream parlours; each of these indulgences has played a vital role inspiring the new collection, not to mention the sweetest part of any celebration – the wedding cake itself.

Prices range from £1750 to £8175 for the real showpiece of the collection – Russo. The majority of dresses in the collection sit between the £2000-3000 price point.
