This afternoon we are talking wedding stationery, as I introduce you to a fabulous company called The Invite Shack. The Invite Shack is the brain child of Liz who set up her stationery company while on maternity leave in 2013. She caters for a whole range of couples, from festival to shabby chic right through to destination weddings and describes her work as Quirky and Unique. Her designs are cute, fun and will set the tone beautifully for any wedding. A fab memento that your guests will want to keep forever.
I grew up in a lovely village called Bearsted, in Kent. During my school years I was always called the “Boff” in my Art and Graphics classes! Haha! They were my favourite subjects!
So I went off to Kingston University in Surrey where I achieved a BA HONS degree in Graphic Design. I worked in the industry for 2 years as a designer and then of all things, I decided to go for a change and became a police officer!
Well….6 years later after starting a family and aspiring to have my own business I offered to help a friend one day and designed her wedding invitations! I impressed a lot of people and found it extremely enjoyable. My passion for design had been missed! I got straight back into it and started to create designs, build a Facebook page and advertise my work. Before I knew it, I was working until 2am most evenings designing wedding stationery!
I have spent many hours working towards my business that I love, all around bringing up my first child and being a police officer in between! I entered The Wedding Industry Awards in 2013 for “Best New Invitation Designer” and was the winner for my county in Kent. This led me to continue with my passion for design and really push my business to grow.
I had my first child and wanted to do something whilst on maternity leave with the hope to running my own stay at home business. I staryed in 2013 and I am based in Gillingham, Kent but I cover the whole world.

Wow, these invites are amazing!
What fun invitations those are! I’ve been trying to come up with something creative for our invitations. I’ve never been much of a black and white, traditional weddings. That farm one is awesome, I love it!
