As you know here at Boho I’m a big fan of photography. I feel it’s a massive part of your day and such an important investment to make in your wedding. As well as getting your wedding photographed well, I am a strong believer in getting your wedding photos out of their digital format and made up into albums, prints and on a canvas. If you come to my house there is no art on the walls, instead a canvas on probably every wall of either, Dexter, Nik or all of us together. Today I am delighted to introduce a fantastic canvas company to you in my mission to make everyone turn their fondest memories into wall art.
As a tester I was sent a code form Parrot print to test the service out myself and I have to say I have been incredibly impressed with the website, the service, the delivery and the end product.
The website was easy to use, and as they only do canvas prints I wasnt left confused with endless options or add-on sales. It was a quick easy process that took just a matter of minutes.
The photo I used was an image taken by Jon at S6 Photography at his photography workshop back in January.
Here’s the orignal. It’s an image that I love but have never got printed out, mainly because we have run out of wall space to hang it on. (Hopefully the new house will rectify the lack of wall space.) I decided that this was the perfect image to try out and with a £50 voucher I knew I’d be able to get a decent size print made.
My £50 got me a 20′ x 30′ print at £49.99 and this is the result. I chose a plain white for the sides instead fo the wrap around a this has always been my personal preference. I am absolutely delighted the end product, The print is crisp, the colours good and the was delivered in a matter of days, with free delivery.
I would highly recommend the service, and will be going back for more once I’ve had another shoot with Jon in a couple of weeks (this time with Dexter as the main model.)
What made you start your business?
As photographers, we were unhappy with the quality produced by similar companies – often receiving heavily pixelated or chopped prints. We saw the need for more affordable premium service, run by a knowledgeable and passionate team that had a deep understanding of photography and printmaking.
When did you start?
Our new site launched in February 2014.
Where are you based?
We’re based in London and cover the whole of the UK and Ireland
What were you doing before?
Business Management / Photography
What makes you different to your competitors?
The print and material quality of our canvas prints are unrivalled at our price points – often beating products that cost over twice as much. We’ve spent a long time obsessing over various premium materials and manufacture processes to ensure the quality of our prints are extremely high, whilst still remaining affordable. There are many companies that supply canvases, but very few will be able to rival the build, print quality and colour accuracy at our price points.
We’re also one of the very few canvas print manufacturers to be approved by, and members of the prestigious Fine Arts Trade Guild. (We were finalists in their 2015 industry awards!)
Can you give me some information on your pricing structure?
We’re priced cheaper than the majority of our major competitors, whilst offering a final product that far exceeds the quality of our rivals. We believe quality canvas prints should be affordable to all!
