Good Afternoon to you all! I hope you are all well. This afternoon we have this gorgeous styled shoot to share with you. The brain child behind this science and astronomy styled shoot is Florence Fox Photography and also the lady behind the lens. I love this modern take on a wedding theme, this fantastic location really does set the tone for a light, modern and fun shoot. It’s also great to see a same-sex couple in a styled shoot, I hope to see more on the pages of the blog in the oncoming months.
The shoot took place on 7th July at Bristol Science Museum & 3D Planetarium, I was inspired by such a unique wedding location, and really wanted to incorporate this into the styling ideas. I wanted to use science and astronomy for visual themes, and use a relaxed, same-sex couple to showcase the cool & quirky venue. I also wanted to bring together the talent from local suppliers and create some beautiful images in both the planetarium and the spaces around the venue. I think the images are beautiful & evoke emotion between the couple.
After wedding season is over I’d love to design some more site-specific shoots. There’s one of the oldest cinemas in the world in Clevedon, Curzon, and I’d love to do a shoot there that incorporates it’s history, and to use theatrical imagination to produce some really interesting and beautiful images that are personal to that building.
