Happy Thursday everyone! I hope it is sunny where you are and that you are managing to enjoy this lovely weather! How many of you are off to Glastonbury today? Kelly C is on her way as we speak, I’m sure she and thousands others will have an amazing time. I will be watching from the comfort of my front room, I’m looking forward to a weekend of good music. Moving on to todays wedding, it’s a gorgeous same-sex wedding brought to you by Dorset wedding photographer Paul Underhill. It’s a beautiful day filled with so much laughter and smiles, the speeches in particular look like so much fun. Karen and Michelle have filled their venue with lots of shabby chic details and the most wonderful collection of flowers. Enjoy!
Karen & Michelle were married on 7th March 2015 at The Kings Arms Hotel, Christchurch. ‘We loved the pavilion, the castle ruins and the staff at The Kings Arms hotel were exceptional. We had 60 guests in total and it took about 6 months to plan the wedding’
How they met
We met online and have been together since October 2013
The Proposal
Karen proposed on holiday in Sharmel Sheik. Had the room decorated with flowers and proposed in the cocktail bar of the hotel.
How did you allocate your budget
We did most of the flowers and decorations ourselves – we had a strict budget of £12k
How did you choose your photographer
We loved his work online and we wanted to work with someone who appreciated our relationship and the unique circumstances around our family and friends. As a gay man Paul was very in tune with these aspects.
The Dress
We both had our outfits made for us. The children’s outfits were given to us by a friend who works for Monsoon. Our children were our bridesmaids/page boys
