Happy Friday everyone, I do hope you have all had a good week! I have...
Hello you lovely lot and welcome back to the blog after a long Bank Holiday weekend, did you all have a lovely Easter break? I do hope so. Mine was good, I worked for 2 days and had 2 days off spent with family and friends, so I feel re dcharge and ready for a busy week ahead. I’d like to welcome Kelly C back to the blog, she was a very lucky girl as she got to spend last week in Chicago, I’m not jealous at all! So all is now back to normal and we have a jam-packed week on the blog ahead of us, starting off with this gorgeous Spanish wedding full of classic chic charm and lots of lovely summer sunshine. Thanks to Andrea from dosmasenlamesa for the images.
Alejandro and Ingrid were married on 28th June 2014 at the Church of Santa Eulalia de Lians followed by a reception at Pazo de Vilaboa (Galicia, Spain). There were 140 guests in total. The wedding took 5 months to plan.
How they met
We met each other at the University and we have been together for 11 years.
Was in Andorra, the new year day. We went there to ski, one of our common passions, and when we were at the top of the ski resort Alex stop in very beautiful place with the excuse to take a picture, and then he knelt down and showed me the ring.
I got very nervous, I dared not touch it for fear that it could falling into the snow! The place was perfect, not only because for its very beauty, but also for the fact it was our first ski holiday as a couple 11 years ago.
How did you choose your photographer
I work in a photography school and since the first moment I was so convinced about the style I want for our wedding photos. Andrea, from “Dos más en la mesa”, is my colleague and she had all the requirements that I was looking for. She made a fantastic job, with a style that I loved and especially her closeness and kindness that made even more perfect every moment of the wedding.

We did a dance that we had prepared instead of Vals and then there was music until 6 am. Also, we put a photo booth for guests could take pictures during the party, the machine made two copies one for them and one that could paste into an album with a dedication.
Buy or DIY your Stationery
Irene, one of my best friends, paint different landscapes of ski resorts for the tables. Were lovely!
Personal or Handmade Touches
We had several friends ready to give birth, to those who wanted to give a detail. TITA prepared us a cupcake boxes for each. Cupcakes seemed real but really were a bodysuit with baby’s name and socks. A cute and very original detail.
The dance was one of the most special moments. We wore while preparing something special and we were quite nervous but it came out great and everyone congratulated us. The song was “Por una cabeza” a tango of Carlos Gardel. Another special moment was when one of our friends, who is a professional Singer, sang us “Heaven”, of Brian Adams.
Advice to other couples
I would tell them organize themselves all they want before the wedding but that day is to forget everything and just enjoy it. There are always some things that do not go as you want, but that day what really matters is to stop thinking and enjoy your partner, your family and your friends.
Everything was great, but if I have to highlight a “surprise” it could be the car that we use to left the church. Alex got a convertible and kept secret until then. We left the church in that car, drived by Alex, and was a precious moment.
