Diary of a Boho Bride – Charlotte and Alan, Entry 6: 1 Weeks To Go

diary of a boho bride

Today is a sad day on diary of a Boho Bride, as we say goodbye to our last bride Charlotte who is getting married next week. Tomorrow Becki will be getting married and I’ll be there with bells on to help celebrate her big day. Then next week it’s the turn of Carys and also Charlotte. So it’s all change on the blog as next Friday I will be introducing you to all of the new Boho Brides, so a sad day, but exciting time ahead. However all of the lovely married brides will be back soon to share with you their wedding day story and pass on any advice they have for you about their day.

It has been a real joy having Charlotte on the blog, I just know that her day is going to be gorgeous! I wish her and Alan all the luck in the world for her future marriage.

Char and Alan

I’ll pass the Blog over to Charlotte…………..

By the time this reaches the gingham boho pages there will be just one week to go.
These past few weeks have literally flown by and I gasp each time I look at my wedding countdown app as another day disappears.

The wedding jitters have well and truly taken control of me in the last week or so. I can’t explain what it is or why I feel like this. Everything is ready to go….I think!!
I have checked and double checked my lists, everything is paid for, all my parcels have been delivered (I’m sure they are sick of the sight of me at the local post office), everything is boxed and ready for the venue and I am still very much in love with Alan and want to be his wife!!

So what is this nervous energy that is causing my stomach to do somersaults and making me want to vomit?! I guess it’s two years of thinking about nothing else, planning, organising, dreaming and in one weeks time that day will be here and we will have made that happen.
Subconsciously I wonder what I will do once its all over…..but then Christmas starts at Sainsbury’s in September so I suppose I will just have to find some festive spirit!!

Alan has worked away this week, I thought that would stress me out even more but it has actually allowed me to finalise all the little details with only myself to worry about. Before he left we had several date nights. It was fab to spend quality time together where the “W” word was banned and do normal things like visit the cinema and have some retail therapy without mention of table plans and decorations.
I’m pleased to say that sicky feeling has now vanished, the nerves have turned to full on excitement and I am ready to rock this wedding. I am about to marry my Prince Charming and get my happy ever after.

I would like to take the chance to thank you all for following my story over the past months and the lovely comments I have received. Thank you to Kelly for giving me the chance to write for her amazing blog, I have truly loved it and I hoped it has inspired the new brides that will be taking over. I will see you all on the other side….as Mrs Muff, to share with you those all important details and photo’s.
