Entry 7 of my photography diary and it’s more of Dee. I did warn you that I would be posting a lot of photos of Dee, so if you’re no a cat lover then this post is not for you I’m afraid. Christmas for me is time of rest, a time to chill out, eat, drink and relax! It’s also one of Dee’s favourite times of year. Yes I know she’s a cat and she doesn’t ‘get’ Christmas but what she does love is the wrapping paper! Every year we have a tradition of opening up our presents in the front room in front of the fire and then leaving all the wrapping paper out for her for a good few days (OK weeks!) Along with a cat nip toy and some cat nip biscuit treats, I bought Dee a fresh batch of tissue paper which is her favourite. I’m not sure if it’s the noise but she goes mad for it, diving into it, running along the floor with it, ripping it to pieces, it doesn’t last very long but she certainly has lots of fun with it.
These photos were taken from 25th – 28th December, as you can see she really enjoyed her Christmas!
Again I used my camera in AV mode and with a 50mm lens and played around with the ISO to get pictures in the day and the night, I didn’t use flash, just the light from the fire and the fairy light in the tree.
Awwwww I love how your photos capture Dee’s personality!
Being able to transmit someone’s (or somecat’s) personality in your photos is just as important as the technical know how – and I think much harder to learn!
My favourite is the second one down….I love your use of depth of field…. But I also just love the way she seems so contented and a little bit smug. As if to say…mine mine mine!
Thanks Jaye, I love these photos as they really show the real Dee, very cheeky and incredibly cute! xxx
