Classic, contemporary elegance mixed with countryside chic

Easton Grange

Easton Grange is a stunning private wedding venue nestled in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, very near to the quintessentially English village of Easton – home of Suffolk’s best dining pub, the Easton White Horse.  Currently under construction, yet close to completion, weddings will be held at Easton Grange from March 2013. The venue is a fusion of contemporary design and traditional architecture; a truly special place to spend one of the most memorable day of a couple’s life.

The planning process started two and a half years ago and we started the construction and restoration in January 2012.

Easton Grange

Where are you based
We’re based in beautiful East Suffolk near the picturesque village of Easton; right in the heart of the countryside and yet very accessible from the A12. Easton Grange is ideally placed for Suffolk weddings but also Essex and Norfolk as we’re on the border of all three counties. London is only 90 minutes away as well so for couples living in the city it’s a dream countryside idyll.

What made you start your business?
We always knew that the setting of the house and barns was beautiful and it struck us some time ago that it would be a perfect place for people to get married. With the winding river Deben at the bottom of the garden and overlooking a magical willow wood it was obvious to us that it really could be the perfect private and tranquil oasis. But…there was a huge amount of work to do before that could become a reality!
The oak framed barns are stunning and were used to store grain, the main area used to be a dairy – believe it or not! The Farmhouse and old Bake House were used up until just a few years ago. To transform it into a wedding venue has required a huge amount of vision and a lot of hard work but we’re nearly there and the effort has certainly been worth it – the reactions of prospective brides and grooms are testament to that. Seeing what was once a working farm transformed into such a beautiful place to celebrate one of the most important days of people’s lives is hugely rewarding and it makes us very proud.

What is your biggest achievement so far
There are so many! If we were forced to pick one it would be that we have managed to breathe life into buildings that deserved to be shared. We were very mindful that we didn’t want to lose the historical value of the house and barns through renovation and the ceremony barn is the one area that we built from scratch. It flows majestically and seamlessly into buildings that have stood for hundreds of years and the fact that we have managed to enhance their natural beauty makes us very happy indeed.

What makes you different to your competitors?
The stylish, private setting speaks for itself. We have created an incredibly special venue where couples are able relax, safe in the knowledge that it’s all theirs; from the time they arrive to get married, right through the celebrations and until the next morning, staying in the best accommodation in the area. Think a private boutique hotel, all to yourself.
Easton Grange’s in-house caterers are Galloping Gourmet and the exceptional quality of the food that’s served here is also an extremely important element that makes us stand out. Galloping Gourmet’s  talented and enthusiastic chefs have trained in a variety of Michelin starred and AA-Rosette establishments and produce food that looks both elegant and beautiful on the plate…most importantly it also tastes delicious! They work with only the best quality ingredients, using local suppliers and seasonal products wherever possible – the food is simple, fresh and offers outstanding value. Galloping Gourmet’s Events Team is also very flexible and works closely with couples to design their perfect wedding menu.

We understand that every aspect of a wedding must be perfect and our aim is for couples and their guests to enjoy every single part of their day and night. Our ability to exceed these expectations is what makes Easton Grange stand out from our competitors.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Again, so many things! The most enjoyable part has to be the fact that every single person we meet has a smile on their face; it actually doesn’t feel like work at all. Planning a wedding is incredibly exciting and hugely rewarding; going on this journey with couples and helping to make their dreams a reality at Easton Grange is a massive privilege.
